From accommodation to the experience of Komiža

Holidays in Komiža brings together accommodation offered by several local hosts, but the task went beyond listing apartments and holiday houses. The website connects the choice of a place to stay with the town, its food and active experiences across the island of Vis — under the promise “Live like a local” in both Croatian and English.

Two intentions, one information architecture

The main navigation organises the content into four clear areas: accommodation, what to see, gastronomy and active holidays. Visitors can begin with the practical need for a place to stay or with what they want to experience on the island, while the bilingual structure preserves the same path through both versions of the website.

Accommodation that can be compared

Listing cards show the nightly price, address, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, guest capacity and host at a glance. Each property page then brings together a gallery, a description of the space, seasonal pricing, amenities and facilities, house rules, an availability calendar, location, guest reviews and similar stays. The information follows the questions that arise before sending an enquiry.

From browsing to a direct enquiry

The reservation process is explained in three steps. After finding a suitable property, the guest sends an email or enquiry form, the host checks availability and replies with an offer and advance-payment details, and confirmation and key collection complete the process. The digital journey remains clear while retaining personal contact with a local host.

Local knowledge as part of the offer

The editorial layer covers beaches, churches, forts, settlements and the archipelago, alongside local food, wine routes, hiking, cycling and boat trips. The message “Buy local. Eat local. Enjoy local.” connects accommodation with support for local producers, presenting not only where to stay but how to discover Komiža from the perspective of people who live there.
